What to include in your enquiry.
A trading desk can only quote as precisely as the brief allows. These six details let us go straight to the right mills rather than returning to you with questions.
Specification
Count and construction for yarns; GSM, width and weave for fabrics; composition and blend ratio throughout. Certifications or test standards, where they apply.
Quantity
Per shipment and, if it is a running programme, the expected annual volume. Repeat business is priced differently from a single trial order.
Destination
The discharge port or country, and the incoterm you work on. This determines freight, documentation and, in several markets, which mills can supply you at all.
Target price, if you have one
An indicative number is useful even when it is optimistic. We would rather tell you early that a level is unworkable than quote around it.
Delivery window
When you need goods in hand, not when you need them shipped. Lead times differ considerably between spinning, weaving and cut-and-sew capacity.
